Business Setup

Business Problem: How do we gather more information about our Sun RV Resort customers and figure out what type of amenities they enjoy?

Consumer Problem: How do I decide what type of communications I want to receive? What type of adventures am I interested in for my vacation?

Email Profile Center

While developing the new email profile center for Sun RV Resorts (Now Sun Outdoors), there we two sides to balance for the project.

First, it is important to make the process of updating contact information and unsubscribing from email communications as clear and straightforward as possible. This can help build trust with users and ensure that they do not feel overwhelmed or frustrated when trying to manage their preferences.

When designing the profile center, it can be helpful to prioritize the user experience by making the interface easy to use and visually appealing. It is also important to be transparent about how user data will be used and to provide clear options for users to opt-out of data sharing if they choose to do so.

Overall, finding a balance between user needs and business goals can be challenging, but by prioritizing transparency and user experience, it is possible to create a profile center that benefits both users and businesses.

This project provided me with an opportunity to experiment with various methods of displaying information. Throughout the project, I was able to test different design systems, buttons, lists, and more.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the project was exploring ways to present data and ask questions without limiting responses to a simple yes or no. It was interesting to see how users responded to various input methods such as checkboxes, swiping buttons, or toggling on/off.

As a result of this project, I became more attuned to the nuances of asking users questions. I paid close attention to whether the actions required of users were clear, whether the requests were overly complex, and whether we were asking too many questions.
